Wright Flyers, established in 1982, is also San Antonio's only Cessna Pilot Center. San Antonio, Texas is known for it's excellent year-round climate, rich aviation history and reasonable cost of living. And training alongside airliners, corporate jets and military aircraft in San Antonio International's active Class C airspace gives you the experience and confidence to fly anywhere in the world. Our career training program can lead to a first officer position with a regional airline or scheduled air freight operator in as little as 14 months. And thanks to UVSC's Internet-based college degree program, you can earn an accredited Associate or Bachelor degree at your convenience while paying in-state tuition rates. No more driving back and forth to classes on someone else's schedule. Rick Rawlinson, our FAA Designated Chief Flight Instructor, also directs Wright Flyers' U.S. Air Force IFS Program. Be sure to visit our world class training facilities at the San Antonio International Airport, where you will train in an active airport environment only 15 minutes away from Randolph AFB. Make the "Wright" career choice - we are the only area pilot training center with 25 years of flight training experience that has worked with the USAF during the development of both the IFT and NIFT Programs that evolved into IFS in November 2005. Email us to schedule a tour of Wright Flyers, or just stop by - we're open 7 days a week. Our large training fleet includes new Cessna 172 Skyhawks, classic Cessna single-engine trainers, and Grumman multi-engine aircraft. And all of our aircraft are professionally maintained by the respected A&P mechanics of Wright Aircraft Service Center, Inc. Private pilot candidates may start their training at any time thanks to Cessna's Computer Based Instruction program. Our instrument trainers feature IFR certified GPS systems, while advanced flight training devices like the Precision Flight Controls MFD and Frasca 142 help to minimize the time and cost of your advanced training. All of our training programs through the ATP multi-engine rating are approved under the FAA's stringent Part 141 regulations. Low rate student loans and scholarships are available to qualifying students, and Wright Flyers accepts Veterans Benefits. Best of all, Wright Flyers Academy graduates will meet many of our former students and instructors when they move on to the airlines and military aviation.
